AboutMy name is Pascal Fux or Fuxji as my friends call me. So as you see the name of this site is simply my nickname.
I was born in 1972 in Switzerland and grew up in a small mountain village called Gasenried. It is a quite place 1'600 meters above the sea level next to Grächen in the valley of Zermatt.
Right after the school I have started a three year long apprenticeship in a bank. For those of you who are not too familiar with this type of education: it is a combination of school and work. In my case I went to school for 1 1/2 days per week and the rest I went to work to learn on the job.
At the end of the apprenticeship I was offered a place in the Romandie to learn French. After three month of study at the Eurocenter in Lausanne I had my "Dimplôme de l'Alliance Française" in my hand. Now it was time to practise so I came to Geneva in 1992.
After a few months in the accounting department for offshore companies I changed to the administrative side of Private Banking. Over the next three years my job consisted of implementing and supporting new information technologies in our department as well as providing our management with the necessary statistical instruments to run the department. During this time I acquired a lot of knowledge about how Private Banking internally works.
Nevertheless I fell the need to get in touch with customers. So as in 1995 to possibility arose to go abroad to improve my English I happily accepted. In January 1996 I went on a 6 month stay to Bournemouth in the UK to prepare for the Cambridge Proficiency Diploma. In July I came back with the diploma and another 6 months later I've started working as an assistant investment relationship manager.
